For dining with some casual elegance, <a href="https://sudawk.co.uk/">SUDA Delicatessen &amp; World Kitchen</a> packs a punch with its bistro menu (it’s also open during the daytime), and if you need more of a hipster hangout, <a href="https://zhug.co.uk/"></a><a href="https://www.facebook.com/zhugfood/">ZUHG</a> serves up authentic Mediterranean street food with a super chic twist.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Want a crowd pleaser? <a href="https://www.mrmansrestaurant.co.uk/">Mr Man&#8217;s Restaurant</a> has a long-standing reputation for fantastic Chinese cuisine.&nbsp;Obviously, there are the culinary delights of the city just 10 minutes away, but some fine dining highlights include the two-Michelin starred <a href="https://www.restaurantsatbains.com/">Restaurant Sat Bains</a> and one-Michelin starred <a href="https://www.alchemillarestaurant.uk/">Alchemilla</a>. Also worth a visit is the intimate and excellent <a href="https://www.hartsnottingham.co.uk/harts-kitchen-nottingham/">Hart’s Kitchen</a> and  <a href="https://www.worldservicerestaurant.com/">World Service</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>You’ll do the bulk of your retail therapy in the city, but there is a lovely little boutique for gifts called <a href="https://www.indigonottingham.com/">Indigo shopping</a> near Waitrose (yes, there&#8217;s one of those too). Otherwise, it’s all the usual suspects and things that you’ll need day-to-day.</p>

Prefer your fitness frenetic? It&#8217;s all disco lights, mini trampolines, mood boosting music at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Bounce-Wollaton-100089312995574/">Bounce</a> and runners will be happy with the weekly one-lap <a href="https://www.parkrun.org.uk/wollatonhall/">Wollaton Parkrun</a> (one of the very best in the area). <p>No surprise that community events revolve around beautiful <a href="https://wollatonhall.org.uk/whats-on/">Wollaton Park</a>, with everything from open air theatre and live music to car shows and sports events. The<a href="https://www.facebook.com/wollatonparkcommiunitycentre/?locale=en_GB"> community centre</a> hosts toddler groups, coffee meet-ups and a popular <a href="https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61557716822888&amp;locale=en_GB">summer festival.</a></p>

<p>Say ‘Wollaton’ and people across the country immediately think: Batman. <p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/zhugfood/">Momma</a> Bains (mum to Nottingham’s two Michelin star chef Sat) sets up at Wollaton Park every Sunday from 11am selling homestyle Punjabi snacks (and the chefs at Restaurant Sat Bains make all the samosas), super-popular so get there before they sell out!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-commute">COMMUTE</h2>



<p>Nottingham city centre is literally 10 mins drive in the car, with buses every 10 mins too. You’re also right next to the A52 so it’s just up the road to Derby. Off to the capital? It’s just over 2hrs 30 mins drive so nip on the train from the city centre.</p>
