<p>This leafy ‘burb is only three miles away from the city, making it an excellent commuter town on foot or via brilliant transport links. Edwardian homes with gardens, all the mod cons of city life and a good schools make it a hit with families, plus there&#8217;s an excellent foodie and shop offering all ready to enjoy.&nbsp; <br>West Bridgford is very much the home of sports. On your doorstep, there’s Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, Notts County and Nottingham Forest football grounds, <em>and</em> the National Watersports Centre in nearby Holme Pierrepont.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The main shopping strip through West Bridgford runs from Central Avenue to Gordon Road, and over the years, gazillions of great foodie joints have popped up. Trattoria-style hearty Italian <a href="https://sexymammalovespaghetti.co.uk/sexy-mamma-love-spagetti-2/">Sexy Mamma Love Spaghetti</a> will fill you up. For chilled out dining, <a href="https://lastorianottingham.co.uk/">La Storia</a> is a lovely, relaxed Italian restaurant with a cosy vibe. <a href="https://cuzina.co.uk/">Cuzina</a> is another great spot for authentic Greek food in a relaxed environment. </p>

<p>If tapas is your thing, Bridgford has two great spots: <a href="https://www.refinerywb.co.uk/">The Refinery</a> (who also do bigger plates) and the Muddy Best Restaurant 2023 <a href="https://www.barescatapas.co.uk/escabeche">escabeche</a>, a locals&#8217; favourite. And for fine dining, head to <a href="https://www.restaurantsix.co.uk/">Six at Trent Bridge</a> and enjoy the gorgeous views from an elevated position above the cricket ground.</p>



<p>There are also some gorgeous café picks in the town. From the super cool <a href="https://www.okende.com/">OKENDE</a> to the beloved <a href="https://www.facebook.com/No8deli/">No.8 deli</a> (a favourite of local celeb chef Sat Bains) there’s something for a casual brunch through to coffee co-working.</p>

<p>Buses to the city are literally every few minutes, and you can also pick up the tram from nearby Wilford. As it’s only 3 miles to the city, it’s also really easy to cycle from West Bridgford along the canal path. Trains from Nottingham City Centre (less than 5 mins by car from Bridgford) will get you to London in around 1 hr 45 mins.&nbsp;</p>
