<p>One of the city’s biggest summer weekends, it’s worthy bagging tickets asap if you want to go to Splendour. Headliners have been announced as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Madness, with Rudimental, The Coral, Inspiral Carpets and Vicky McClure’s heart-warming Our Dementia Choir (pictured) also making an appearance. Got teens looking for a first festival? With cheaper youth tickets for 11-17 year olds and younger kids free, this one’s good value for money (city residents also get discounts). </p>

<p>The Peak District party that is YNot is going from strength to strength with Kasabian, Paul Weller and James just some of the names appearing this year. But it’s not just rock, indie and alternative music – there’s comedy, paint fights and carnivals, all set in the gorgeous Peak District countryside.</p>

<p>This magical, mega-family-friendly, immersive festival gets better each year. Super-imaginative and firmly aimed at young families, it&#8217;s set in gorgeous Thoresby Park and is easy to enjoy. One ticket unlocks everything: live shows, immersive performances, creative workshops, playful theatre; so there are no hidden costs, or &#8216;maybe later&#8217; fob-offs. Once you’re through the gates, the only extras are food, drink and merch. Expect lots of joining in (S-Club, Vengaboyz, Black Lace and Swift-inspired acts) and stacks of kids&#8217; TV characters (Bing, Paw Patrol and co). Family of four weekend camping tickets £495, or £341 without the overnight stays.</p>

<p>A five-day party at a stunning lakeside setting surrounded by gorgeous gardens, this one sees each evening headlined by a different band. It kicks off on the Thursday with The Fratellis and the weekend opens on the Friday with Madness, supported by The Coral. On Saturday it&#8217;s Five with support from The Wanted 2.0, and The Human League and Haircut 100 close the party on Sunday. <p>Ok, it&#8217;s a hop over the border to this one, but it&#8217;s so worth it. If you’ve got primary aged kids or tiny tots you must, must, must snap up tickets for the enchanting and joyous <a href="https://justsofestival.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Just So Festival</a>. Taking place Rode Hall in Cheshire, this fabulous family adventure is a Muddy favourite and is jam-packed with magical happenings. From live music and forest theatre to creative hands-on crafty sessions and campfire takes in the Spellbound Forest, there’s always something unexpected, uplifting and charming in each glade.</p>

<p>Chilled vibes and grassroots culture, this time it’s folk in the spotlight. Know your folk? You can look forward to Badly Drawn Boy, Skinny Lister and 3 Daft Monkeys. Tickets to this family-friendly affair are £40 and free for under 11s. </p>

<p>This absolute feast of a festival is back in a new location this year – the lovely Thoresby Park. A popular, family-friendly foodie event, it’s a tasty mix of stalls, street food, bars, gifts and crafts. The highlight is the 500-seat cookery theatre where famous chefs will work their magic (including Lisa Faulkner and John Torode, Dean Edwards, and Matt Tebutt). There will also be music, entertainment, interactive workshops and have-a-go activities across the weekend. Tickets from £12. </p>

<p>Put it on your radar for 2027 now as this independent music festival has it all. As well as an eclectic music line-up and children&#8217;s activities, the festival also hosts a world record attempt for the largest number of people wearing false beards.</p>

<p>Want to be at the cutting edge? Dot to Dot kicks off in Bristol the day before the whole shebang packs up and heads to Nottingham. There’s no one festival hub for this one, instead acts play at multiple venues across the city (the same wristband gets you entry to all of them) like Rock City, the Rescue Rooms, The Level and lots more. It’s all about emerging acts and is a great way to check out Nottingham’s different venues and vibes.</p>
