<p>Looking for some art to adorn your walls? With the <a href="https://www.chatsworth.org/events/peak-district-artisans-showcase/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Peak District Artisans showcase</a> currently running at the Stables Gift Shop at Chatsworth, now’s a great time to discover both up-and-coming and internationally renowned local artists (and snaffle some of their art for your walls).</p>



<p>We’ve rounded up a few of our Peak District favourites to wet your whistle, and have ventured to Notts and beyond for female artists worth a follow. Whatever your vibe &#8211; street art, local landscapes, or fancy florals &#8211; we&#8217;ve got you covered.</p>

<p>I discovered Peak District artist Jenny Aitken when browsing the &#8216;gram for coastal prints and I&#8217;ve become a little bit obsessed ever since. With connections to Cornwall and the Channel Islands, she has a love of the sea and paints stunning seascapes, as well as more local landscapes. But it&#8217;s the breath-taking way she captures the light that draws you in, conjuring up atmospheric magic with her oil paints. She sells mainly through galleries, but also sells some work through her website. (from £225). Give her a follow to get a heads-up on her lovely water and light workshops too, many of which are local (the latest was Cromford Mills).</p>

<p>Painter and printmaker Cath Dunn has been inspired by the Dark Peak and is fascinated by natural forms and a sense of place – rocks, trees, the lie of the land – Cath&#8217;s primary interest lies in arrangement, abstraction and stylisation. Using the patterns, curves and rhythms of the land she captures the spirit and her feelings for specific places. Catch her work on display at Chatsworth Stables shop until March.</p>

<p>After a dramatic career shift from neuroscientist to artist a couple of years ago, landscape artist Greta already has four awards to her name. The Lithuanian-British painter is often found painting in fresh air in the Peak District near her Sheffield home and is currently displaying her work at Chatsworth.</p>

<p>Nottingham artist Paula Reid is all about pattern and colour. I love her vibrant, detailed and quirky artworks that really pop. Using a cool combo of traditional hand-drawn and digital techniques, she often embraces geometric-inspired themes and is inspired by unusual shapes and patterns found in the bustling paraphernalia of city life.</p>

<p>Another artist born out of the city of rebels and creatives, Hannah&#8217;s illustrations have a narrative sketchbook-feel to them. Easy to love (especially if you love Nottingham), much of her work is easy to snap up locally at Handmade Nottingham, like this print of <a href="https://www.handmadenottingham.com/products/nottingham-market-square-print?pr_prod_strat=e5_desc&amp;pr_rec_id=310848afc&amp;pr_rec_pid=8305941578012&amp;pr_ref_pid=4579369451623&amp;pr_seq=uniform" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nottingham Market Square</a> (£45).</p>

<p>Another Peak District artist currently on show at Chatsworth, mixed-media artist, Karlsson believes that art should tell a meaningful story. Her lovely narrative style of work is based on memories of places and experiences.</p>

<p>If it&#8217;s beautiful botanicals you&#8217;re after, take a peek at Kate Dawes&#8217; affordable fine art prints. Brilliant for bringing the outside in if you&#8217;re looking for a spring interiors refresh, her prints are a hybrid of art and photography, combining artistic skills and photo imagery. Each piece starts life on watercolour paper and is delicately built up using a range of mediums from watercolours and acrylics, to pencil crayons and black ink pen.</p>
