<p>How does she do it? Despite a day of downpours, Fiona Bruce still managed to look pristine and perfect in head-to-toe white when she dropped into <a href="https://www.cromfordmills.org.uk/venue/cromford-mills/">Cromford Mills</a> to film the Antiques Roadshow this week. BBC specialists were on hand to offer free valuations to visitors who raided their attics and brought along car boot bargains for inspection.</p>



<p>Another local appearance on BBC this week when Matlock&#8217;s <a href="https://www.leagarden.co.uk/">Lea Gardens </a>features on Gardeners&#8217; World on Fri 31 May.</p>

<p>Muddy swung by to the lovely launch of <a href="https://www.fischers-baslowhall.co.uk/">Fischer&#8217;s</a> swanky new Champagne terrace in Baslow. With a delectable new summer menu, broad umbrellas for shade (or rain cover) and a fantastic fizz selection, it&#8217;s a hot ticket for al fresco celebration dining this summer.</p>



<p>Another new outdoor space freshly open for al fresco cocktails is <a href="https://www.langarhall.com/restaurant/">Langar on the Lawn</a>. Spread out on the lawns in front of Langar Hall on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 3pm and 5pm with a cocktail or two. The newly refurbished play area means it&#8217;s perfect for a post school run sprawl, but it&#8217;s equally ideal for a chill after a lazy lunch of arrive early for pre-dinner drinks.</p>



<p>Sensational new shop alert! Design mavens will be able to get their fix of locally-crafted ceramics, jewellery, interiors accessories and more in Derby&#8217;s Cathedral Quarter when <a href="https://design44.co.uk/">Design44 </a>opens its latest store in Quad. Opens Mon 24 June for a six-month stint.</p>

<p>Adrenaline junkies should make a beeline for the cool new bouldering park that&#8217;s opened at The Arches Adventure Base in Nottingham. <a href="https://boatyardboulders.co.uk/">Boatyard Boulders Nottingham</a>, claims to be the UK’s first realistic artificial rock bouldering park. Screen-free summer here we come.</p>

<p>Exciting plans afoot for <strong>Nottingham Broad Marsh</strong>. A fancy, futuristic new vision of the area was brought to life with the release of a <a href="https://www.mynottinghamnews.co.uk/nottingham-broad-marsh-masterplan-unveiled/">CGI fly-through video</a> and images showing how the area could look if the Masterplan is followed through. Building work is already happening to create the new wildlife-rich green heart of the area, and a play space and regeneration of the library, bus station and pedestrian areas will follow.</p>
