Pretty Palladian <a href="https://harewood.org/visit/christmas/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harewood House</a> will be transformed into an immersive, fun and slightly wild festive family experience. You’ll journey through time and wallow in the nostalgia of Christmas past, celebrate festive pop culture and imagine Christmas in the future.&nbsp;You’ll hear the sounds, play the games and be reminded of Christmas memories from your childhood. Sure to get you (and the kids) smiling. It runs from&nbsp;<strong>Wed 8 Nov – Thurs 7 January</strong>, but booking is essential.</p>

<p>Harewood has 150 acres of stunning Capability Brown grounds (and a brilliant adventure playground where the kids can burn off the festive sugar rush). For a genteel Bridgerton-vibes stroll, waft around the terrace garden, Himalayan garden and walled garden. For a longer stomp, try the stunning three-mile walking trail across the North Park, South Park and lakeside.</p>

<p>Muddy loves a country house in its Christmas gladrags. And Harewood looks set to glimmer and sparkle this year. Plenty of spots to snap the Christmas card picture for the grandparents and, if you can drag the kids away from the adventure playground, book them in for <a href="https://harewood.org/whats-on/event/the-adventures-of-peppermint-a-father-christmas-experience/">The Adventures of Peppermint</a>, an immersive family-friendly experience helping an elf venture through an icy landscape.</p>



<p>Visiting sans enfants? Book into the cosy embrace of the Half Light event, where you can sip a chilled glass of fizz and explore the State Floor after dark, before venturing Below Stairs to bask in the shimmering décor and the twinkle of lights.</p>
