New owners and plenty of investment  – from robotic mowers and a new driving range to a swish new pro shop and refurb of the Club House – this gorgeous 18-hole golf course has had quite the glow-up.

With more than 70 female members, women are more than welcome here and now a new pro has taken the helm, newcomers to the game can sign up for beginner lessons. If you’re already keen to cash in on golf’s growing cool girl rep (just look at Brit pro Charley Hull’s Insta if you don’t believe me), the new Trackman driving range is the place to get the swing of things.

Know your wedges from your woods? There’s plenty to keep you on your toes around this par 71 course that spans 6,468 yards. Look out for the memorable par four over water, the back-to-back par fives that demand precision and strategy and the looping dogleg on the 14^th. There’s also a new fleet of buggies on the horizon, if you don’t fancy trudging your clubs around the course.

That spruced-up clubhouse is just the place for a post-game cocktail, but if a bigger bash is on your mind, it can host up to 150 for a sit down do (and up to 200 for mingling).

Next year the club celebrates its 125^th anniversary and it’s certainly on the up. Mmm, Muddy’s thinking it could be time to trade cocktails for clubs.
